A Data Center is a centralized environment to host the IT infrastructure (servers, storage and network) for running applications to deliver various functions. The primary function of a Data Center is to provide high available, secure and energy efficient physical infrastructure to host compute, storage and network systems for ensuring non-stop operation on a 24x7x365 basis.
Data Centers are either private or hosted. In private Data Centers, organizations build their own Data Centers specific to in-house requirements. In hosted type, Data Centers are also built for hosting servers and storage of other organizations. These Data Centers are designed to cater to the varying needs of the clients with respect to the space, power, cooling and connectivity.
